Interceptors arrive for 5th Summit

Six of the twelve interceptors to assist the coast guard in protecting in and around the Hyatt regency hotel for the Summit of the Americas have arrived.
According to the coast guard the boats will be handed over them by the ministry of national security on Wednesday.
National security Martin Joseph had announced to parliament a plan to buy 12 additional interceptors for the coast guard.
The interceptors are expected to be key assets in the government's fight against drug trafficking and other crimes in the gulf and are separate from the offshore patrol vessels on order.
