People’s Partnership victorious at Local Government Elections 2010

Another victory for the People's Partnership.

Only two months after a landslide victory in general elections, the UNC/COP partnership has emerged victorious in local government elections.

A mere two hours after the close of polls, PNM political leader, Dr. Keith Rowley, conceded that the PNM had suffered a comprehensive defeat.

Dr. Rowley confirmed that the PNM had held on to three corporations Port of Spain, San Juan/Laventille and Point Fortin.

Meanwhile, Minister of Health, Therese Baptiste-Cornelis, said the results were as expected.

She said all government MP’s and senators ensured that they worked the corporations.
