When Golda applied to the University of the West Indies, her objective was to graduate with a degree in International Relations. An unexpected call would lead her to the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication at UWI, Mona.
The issues affecting the region, at that time, fuelled Golda's passion for current affairs as she worked on the production of several documentaries on the Caribbean.
After the graduating, Golda was faced with finding work in the already saturated media in Trinidad and Tobago. However, at C she has been able to forge a path for herself as a journalist, and later, an anchor.
Deep spirituality, a prodigious sense of humour, and love for people in general drive her to her ultimate goal.
Golda's vision to become a documentary film maker remains a priority. Her imagination has been fired by the potential for immortality in the images and spirit captured by the reels and, as she has said time and time again, her greatest work will no doubt be behind the camera.
