WICB confirms England approaches Dyson
Wednesday 18th March, 2009
The WICB has confirmed that the England and Wales cricket board has approached John Dyson to coach England.
Radio Jamaica reported today that WICB chief executive Donald Peters confirmed the Dyson the approach.
While the Australian is still contracted to the WICB until November 2010, peters says if Dyson is presented with a better offer the board will be hard pressed to keep him.
Peters says Dyson has not made any formal report on the issue but they are open to the fact that he could be the next England coach.
Dyson was hired by the WICB following the 2007 cricket world cup to replace another Australian Bennett King.
